Pavacho Sano/Bread Sheera
 Pavacho sano is breakfast dish made of leftover bread.
 
 
Ingredients:
10-12 bread slices
1 medium size onion chopped
3 green chilies
1 tsp of sugar
4-5 curry leaves
1/2 tsp mustard
1/2 tsp jeera/cumin (optional)
a pinch of hing
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
 1 tsp oil
2 tbsp chopped coriander/cilantro,
2 tbsp grated coconut
 
 
Method:
Make small pieces of the bread slices with hand or cut into cubes with a knife.
Chop the onions, green chilies and coriander.
Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds, once they splutter add jeera/cumin, curry leaves and asafoetida.
Add onions and fry until they become pinkish.
Add turmeric powder followed by bread pieces, sugar and salt.
Keep tossing for sometime or until all the pieces are properly coated with the oil.
Cover the pan, and let cook for 5 minutes. Remove the lid and mix.
Add the grated coconut and chopped cilantro. Mix well. Cover and cook for another 2 minutes.
You can also add chopped tomatoes, green peas or potatoes for variation.
